Definitely, that's the plan! This template is only a starting point to show you sounds that work. Once you hear proven kicks, basses, hi-hats, etc., feeding into a killer mastering chain makes adding your own sounds much easier.

Absolutely! Once you have a proven starting point, it is easy to add new kicks, basses, melodies, etc., and know when they sound right. There are limiters across the project, so you get a good balance when adding new elements. The final ingredient is the A/B Crossfader workflow to compare your track to reference tracks instantly using ADPTR AB. You will not be mixing in the blind.

Both! This template uses a structure that is really simple and fast in the studio, and powerful for live performance. The best thing: every track you work on will immediately be ready to be played on stage. No transfer or further editing is necessary.

Yes! We recommend the AKAI APC40 MKII combined with the AKAI MIDIMIX. Basically, any controller with 8 faders and 8 rotary knobs will do. To get the most from the template you will need two controllers and ideally one should have a clip launcher functionality. An AKAI APC Mini will also work in combination wth the AKAI MIDIMIX
